What standard of skier do I need to be to do the ski instructors course?

You need to be a competent parallel skier on all pistes. Because your training is with BASS Megeve instructors you will receive the highest standard of British ski training. All staff have Level 4 ISTD qualifications. So even if you are a very experienced skier or have a ski racing background your level will be pushed and developed.

Am I guaranteed certification?

The levels for ski instructor qualification are standardized. Therefore, certification cannot be guaranteed. However, most instructors course programs provide the very best training  and every opportunity to achieve certification.

What are my job prospects after the course?

If you successfully pass advanced ski instructor courses, then your job prospects are excellent. Through extensive contacts and knowledge of the industry, we can make a reasonable guarantee that you will find employment on a part time or seasonal basis. This may even be possible straight after the course if you look around ahead of time.

How do I book a place on the skiing course?

To book your spot on an instructors’ course, please read the terms and conditions, then complete the application form(s). The deposit is neither refundable nor transferable. Full details can be found in the application and terms of the course instruction.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Instructor courses can be limited and operate on a first-come-first-serve basis and places. They are often limited to about 10 or so per course. We advise you to book sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Do I need my own ski equipment?

It is recommended that you have your own ski equipment for the course however items can be hired in resort if required. Advice on skis & other equipment will be given when you are booked onto the instructors’ course. Any equipment offers available should be forwarded to students before the course begins. We generally advise that you buy most of your ski equipment before leaving for your instructor course, or at the very start of the course in the resort.
